Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a senior official has suffered technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
