Paceman Atkinson Adds to England's Fitness Worries.

'Significant concern' for the touring side as Atkinson leaves the field with a hamstring injury.

Gus Atkinson further complicated the fitness woes of the England squad when he left the playing area on the second morning of the Boxing Day Test versus the Australians.

Atkinson felt a problem in his hamstring post-delivery in his spell on Saturday.

The touring camp reported the 27-year-old reported "discomfort" and would spend time away from the action to undergo evaluation "in the coming hours".

The series decider in this Ashes battle at the SCG begins this coming Sunday.

England have previously lost fast bowlers one seamer to a knee injury and Jofra Archer because of a side injury on this Ashes tour.

A replacement bowler was added to the party as injury reinforcement.

The seamer had a tough time in the opening two Tests, managing only three wickets.

He was left out from the previous Test, then recalled for the fourth Test in the playing XI.

The county bowler showed better form in Melbourne, bagging two scalps during the host's first knock, and scoring 28 runs as a batsman among just a trio of England players to reach double figures.

Following a brief spell in Australia's second innings, he returned on Saturday morning and removed Scott Boland edging to the keeper.

However, towards the conclusion of that over, he sent down a change of pace to Travis Head and promptly felt at his leg.

The English bowler returned to the side for the fourth Ashes Test after being left out the previous Test.
