The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
