The Initial Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft still intends to draw people in with strong games on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
The two games currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Compelling Indie Titles
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that validate the subscription alone. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
