Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public personalities expressed varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial statements that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "shocking" and implied they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
